About Us

Lee Driving School is a new entity, which opened in August, 2021. Due to the lack of availability of driving coursework and behind the wheel training,  we  opened our business to better serve our community and  the surrounding area. Courses are available to both adults and juveniles. We are Lee County’s first and only driving school offering multiple courses and flexible scheduling. We are state approved by the Department of Motor Vehicles, licensed, fully insured and bonded.  We have state licensed highly qualified educators as instructors who have all had Federal Bureau of Investigations background checks and offer a combined 120 years of combined teaching experience.  All courses are taught in the newly renovated Pennington Gap Community Center, located next to Lee Theatre. Our classroom is comfortable and in an environment conducive to learning. Free Wi-Fi and technological devices assist in enhancing the learning experience.

Behind the wheel drivers receive instruction in our new Hyundai. It is equipped with the latest technology and safety features. It is equipped with a forward collision-avoidance assist (FCA) with pedestrian detection that uses the vehicle’s front-facing camera to identify and notify about any possible collision with a vehicle or pedestrian. A blind spot is a major problem that most drivers face. The blind-spot collision avoidance assist (BCA) and rear cross-traffic collision-avoidance (RCCA) detect a vehicle in the drivers’ blind spot. To ensure that navigating lanes appropriately, the 2021 Hyundai Elantra has the Lane Keeping Assist (LKA), which senses road marks and automatically steers the car in case of accidental lane departure, and the Lane Following Assist (LFA) automatically steers the vehicle keeping it centered in its lane. Meanwhile, the Driver Attention Warning (DAW) will monitor various parameters to measure driver fatigue. A secondary braking system has been installed to assist students as needed. Further, our vehicle is fully insured and  safety checks and routine maintenance are done as required.  Your safety is top priority.

We are proud to offer these services to our community and the surrounding area.
